Fort Fredrick: As You Like It - Chantel & Dave's Engagement Session

The tradition in Fort Fredrick, a segregated part of the Royal Military College campus, is that rank dissolves the moment you enter the fort: a kind of home free for the students. This was obviously Chantel and Dave's "Happy Place," because as soon as they passed through the gates it was nothing but smiles. The scavenger hunt, or game of capture the flag(?) we shot in the midst of (Cadets camp season) barely disrupted the fun and romance. Who would have thought the forest of Arden existed on R.M.C. campus?

Brides can't Trespass? - Julie's Bridal Session

Turns out some farmers can be pretty particular about who treads on their stomping grounds. Trucks, trackers, cows, these may pass, but a lily of a bride and two photographers may very well cause irreparable damage! Needless to say we ate crow, but the yielded left a great taste in our mouths. Turns out a vibrant red Chinese wedding gown can compete with a sun setting in a sea of wheat. The moral of the story: photographers will shoot on site!

Amanda and Greg: Somewhere they have never travelled, gladly beyond.

Amanda and Greg's ceremony opened with these closing words from an E.E. Cummings' poem, "the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses/ nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands." Fortuitous or deliberate, more fitting words could not describe the spirit of the day. Rain could not overshadow, nor detract, from the subtle elegance and delicate beauty Greg found in his bride. And despite Amanda's giggle mid vow, it was evident she had eyes only for Greg. Congratulations on finding each other.
